Daily Lockscreen Chinese ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS application that shows a daily Chinese vocabulary word. This policy explains how the app handles information.
None. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app has no user accounts and requires no sign-up. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, and we do not employ any third-party SDKs that collect data.
Your preferences, such as which fields to display, your selected HSK levels, your theme, and any words you add to or remove from your deck, are stored locally on your device only. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. The vocabulary dictionary itself is bundled inside the app and is read-only.
The optional Daily Chinese Pro subscription is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We do not operate any server and never receive, see, or store your name, payment details, or Apple ID. All payment processing and billing is handled by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The app verifies your subscription status on-device using Apple's signed receipts.
The app functions fully offline. The only network communication is the standard, encrypted connection your device makes to Apple's App Store to load and validate subscription products. No data is sent to us or to any third party.
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects no information from children. The app is suitable for all ages.
Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. Removing the app from your device deletes all locally stored preferences.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
